Hippo Blue

Hippo Blue is a vibrant kids' brand known for its colourful and personalised products. Specialising in children's back to school accessories, the brand offers a unique and playful approach to engage young minds through personalised and creatively designed items.

In my role as a graphic designer, I had the privilege of working closely with Hippo Blue, a vibrant kids' brand. As a key contributor to their creative team, I took on a multifaceted role that extended beyond traditional design boundaries.

Firstly, I led the design efforts for their product range, infusing each item with a personalized and visually engaging touch. From stationery to accessories and clothing, my designs aimed to capture the playful spirit that defines the Hippo Blue brand.

Additionally, I took charge of building and refining their website, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing online presence. Through strategic design choices and user-friendly interfaces, the website became an extension of the brand's identity, providing customers with an immersive and enjoyable shopping experience.

Moreover, I spearheaded the company's social media efforts. Crafting visually stunning and shareable content, I aimed to elevate Hippo Blue's online presence, fostering engagement and connecting with the brand's target audience. Through a strategic approach to social media, we aimed to build a community around the brand, sharing the joy and creativity inherent in Hippo Blue's products.

In summary, my role as a graphic designer for Hippo Blue involved not only designing their products but also actively contributing to their online presence through website development and social media management. It was a holistic collaboration where creativity met functionality to enhance the overall brand experience for Hippo Blue and its customers.


EDM Designs

I've successfully contributed to various email marketing campaigns by creating a range of distinct EDMs tailored to each campaign's unique objectives. My involvement extended beyond design, as I initiated and developed comprehensive photo plans for the accompanying photoshoots. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in conceptualising and crafting compelling content for the emails, ensuring a harmonious fusion of visual appeal and impactful messaging. This creative approach aimed to not only capture the essence of each campaign but also engage the audience effectively through a cohesive blend of design and content strategy.

Organic Socials

In my role overseeing social media accounts, I took charge of meticulously planning and designing the layout of each post. This involved not only the visual presentation but also the strategic crafting of engaging caption content. My responsibilities extended to curating a cohesive and appealing social media presence by orchestrating the overall aesthetic and messaging, ensuring that each post contributed to the brand's narrative and effectively engaged the target audience.

Social Reels

I undertook a comprehensive approach to showcase the brand's new Eat and Drink range. From meticulous planning to seamless execution, I coordinated the entire process of recording, editing, and strategically uploading promotional reels. This initiative aimed not only to align with current trends but also to introduce and highlight the distinctive features of the new product line. The carefully crafted reels served as a dynamic tool to captivate the audience, keeping them engaged, informed, and excited about the latest offerings from Hippo Blue. Through this strategic approach, we endeavored to stay on the pulse of trends while effectively promoting the brand's innovative products.

I curated a charming ensemble comprising personalised children's cushions, labels, and nightlights, each boasting three distinct and delightful designs. This creative endeavor aimed not only for aesthetic appeal but also for a seamless integration of personalisation that resonates with the youthful spirit.

To vividly showcase this diverse collection, I orchestrated a meticulous photoshoot. This session was an artful capture of the essence and individuality embedded in each item, emphasising their visual and tactile allure.

Transitioning into the digital realm, my next role involved crafting compelling thumbnails for the website. These virtual snapshots provided an enticing preview of the imaginative worlds encapsulated within each design, serving as a virtual gateway for parents and gift seekers. The goal was to create an immersive online experience, inviting exploration and selection of these personalised treasures for the special little ones in their lives.

2022 Christmas Campaign

In the holiday marketing for 2022 Christmas, I took the lead in crafting a distinctive Christmas campaign for the company. I introduced novel visual assets, breaking away from the company's traditional approach. The infusion of creativity and uniqueness extended to both Instagram and the website, employing animation and videography to elevate the campaign's visual impact.

The results were exceptional, with the unconventional visual strategy contributing to a noteworthy 50% increase in marketing sales for that year. The fusion of innovative content creation and strategic implementation proved instrumental in capturing audience attention and driving sales during the festive season.

Website Design

I orchestrated the design of the Hippo Blue’s category pages, meticulously crafting each thumbnail. Afterward, I seamlessly integrated them into the Shopify platform, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing layout. Additionally, I dedicated efforts to refining the overall aesthetic of the website, ensuring a polished and user-friendly appearance.

UX Design

I strategised the navigation and user experience for each product's online journey. This involved meticulous planning of the flow, from a user landing on the product page to making a purchase. I crafted distinct icons for various functions, ensuring they were not only visually appealing but also intuitive in conveying information. This comprehensive approach aimed to optimise the online experience, seamlessly guiding users through the product exploration and purchase process.
